Playa Blanca
The deep-blue waters of the Pacific give way to the golden brown sands of the beach on the isthmus. The area is known as Arco Seco, which means dry arc. In other words, visitors can expect brilliant sunshine and warm waters all year round.
There is currently a new international airport being developed at Rio Hato. This new airport is just a few minutes from Playa Blanca, and will provide easy access to other popular tourist destinations and resorts on Panama's Pacific Coast.
Apart from the world-class beachfront hotels offering ocean view rooms and suites, guests will be bowled over by the vastness and luxury of the resort services. It is a planned development, complete with a town center lined with cafes and restaurants, boutiques, mini-markets and more. A huge 17-acre pool of turquoise salt water offers the safety of an enclosed lagoon. Golfers will be thrilled to find an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus designed championship golf course. Everyone will find something they like, from shopping and spas to snorkeling, fishing and surfing.
Playa Blanca also does very well in terms of group events such as corporate retreats and weddings. Conferences and receptions can be held in the large convention center. An event planner will coordinate all the arrangements, making sure the event has the best catering service, guest accommodation, florist, entertainment and support staff for setting up all the A/V equipment.
The beaches, the incredibly beautiful setting and the proximity to Panama City all combine to make Playa Blanca an unbeatable experience. The huge and numerous beaches ensure the place seems uncrowded even during peak season in the summer, and it is always going to be relatively cheap.
